ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --The Broncos made a practice-squad addition Tuesday, adding offensive lineman Antonio Johnson and releasing outside linebacker Danny Mason to make room.
Johnson, a rookie from North Texas, spent the offseason and training camp with the New Orleans Saints after a successful tryout during a May rookie minicamp. New Orleans waived him at the cut to 75 players, and he landed in Pittsburgh for a two-day stint on their practice squad (Sept. 6-7) before being released.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Johnson started all four seasons at North Texas.
