ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Following his three-sack performance against the Los Angeles Rams, outside linebacker Bradley Chubb has been nominated for the NFL's rookie of the week award.
Chubb sacked Rams quarterback Jared Goff twice on a last-minute drive at the end of the first half and then took him down again in the fourth quarter to set up a key defensive stop.
Chubb's performance on Sunday was his first multi-sack game of his career, and he became the first NFL rookie to post three sacks in a game since 2015. He also tied Denver's single-game rookie sack record.
The fifth-overall pick in April's NFL Draft finished with five total tackles.
Chubb now leads all rookies with 4.5 sacks this season.
