ENGLEWOOD, Colo. --The 2013 schedule for all 32 teams will be released this evening at 6 p.m. MDT.
And more than just fans are fired up about the unveil.
"I pay a lot of attention to that," linebacker Wesley Woodyard said. "I definitely look forward to the preseason games, but it's that Week 1 game that I definitely get ready for. That's the only thing that matters: that Week 1 game."
The interest surrounding the Broncos' opener was echoed by wide receiver Eric Decker.
"I'm excited to see what the opening day game is going to be," he said. "Obviously there's a lot of talk about matchups, whether it's Peyton (Manning) and Eli (Manning), or with anybody, but I think we know in this league every week is going to be tough. We know who we've got, it's just a matter of how they're going to structure it throughout the year. So it'll be interesting."
Predictions have swirled that Denver could open against the Ravens since it was announced that Baltimore's first game, which will kick off the entire season on a Thursday night, will be played on the road.
But Woodyard is just ready to start the season, regardless of opponent.
"If it's the Ravens, it's the Ravens," he said. "We welcome everybody that we've got to play. We don't care; we're just ready to get back out on the field and prove to ourselves that we can be one of the best teams ever.
In the hours leading up to the schedule announcement, take a look at the team's 2013 opponents, which have been set since December.
"We know our schedule is tough," Decker said. "We know it's going to be a challenge every week. But that's just going to make us work that much harder."
